Town Square: Reverend Dr. William J. Barber; Dr. Kirstin Matthews; and Dr. Dietrich von Biedenfeld

We hear conversations about the latest Covid news and its economic impact, and we talk to civil rights leader and author Reverend William J. Barber.

FILE - In this June 12, 2019, file photo, the Rev. William J. Barber accompanied by faith leaders speaks during a rally outside of the White House, protesting against President Donald Trump policies in Washington. To many, it seems that the people calling for easing restrictions meant to slow the spread of the new coronavirus — who have been predominantly white — are agitating for reopening because they won’t be the ones to suffer the consequences. “The issue is not what these protests are saying to just black people but what they are saying to poor and low-income people who are the most impacted," said Barber.
