NOTHING TO LIKE HERE
Trump supporters always like to talk about the so-called from haters. Well Trump is ignorant, arrogant and corrupt. He’s also a bully, a coward and a liar. So what’s to like about Trump? The problem is not with these so-called Trump haters. I think Trump supporters should look in the mirror and ask themselves, what is there to like about Donald Trump? Because there isn’t anything to like about Donald Trump.
ENOUGH ALREADY
Oh please, give me a break. Dr. Jill Biden with a measly Ph.D in education. My father had an undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois. He had a Master’s degree from Rice University and he had a Ph.D from Harvard in chemistry. Never once did he expect anybody to call him “doctor.” He also has 17 patents in his own name for stuff he discovered or worked on. And when he figured out the lawyers were making all the money, he went back to law school and became a patent attorney. So for heaven’s sake, tell the Bidens to take their egos and go bury their heads in the sand. I’ve had enough of them.
OUT OF ORDER
It was good to hear that the first group of the vaccinations were going to the front liners and senior living centers, etc. Being a senior I heard we were going to be in the next grouping. Alas, while watching the news yesterday I see a 17-year-old girl getting her shot. She is not in those groups that were said to be getting the first doses. I wonder how that transpired? Just leaves one to wonder who is following the guidelines and who isn’t

THE CASE FOR HUNTING
A recent Letter to the Editor regarding “Vicious Hunts on public land” is one side of the story. The other side is that “controlled hunts” thin the herd. There is only so much feed for the winter and if there is no hunt the deer will browse everything until there is no food for the herd. So now they either die of starvation or they leave the park and invade your garden and the neighbors’ farms. The fees for fishing and hunting licenses support the state parks and public game lands that are open to everyone. Little tax money is needed for this. After all this is a commonwealth. Ms. Jenny, think about the vicious slaughter of hogs, chickens, and cattle the next time you go to the ‘fridge.

A GOOD MAN DONE WRONG
I read an article in your paper from Dec. 21 about a Delaware County public defender, Leigh Bechtle. Mr. Bechtle is suing the county for wrongful termination due to his disability. While I don’t really know Mr. Bechtle, I have met him in the course of his work. I worked with many of the juvenile clients he has severed over the years. Mr. Bechtle was wonderful with these juvenile offenders, while carrying a rather large docket everyday. He seemed to take a lot of time and made sure he was aware of every detail of their cases before going into court with them. He would even take the time to speak with outside community workers to get an understanding of how his clients were doing in the community. I don’t know of many public defenders that do this ( I have worked with Delaware County in this field for over 20 years). \\I can’t imagine that he suddenly became “bad” at his job. Mr. Bechtle is an example of a man that has worked to overcome his disability. I can’t think of a better person to represent these young people. \\Delaware County was lucky to have him.

The word doctor is derived from the Latin word for teacher. Physicians originally adopted the title to try to get the same respect as doctors in academia. It is ignorant to argue that someone who has earned a doctorate degree should not use “Dr.”

Congratulations to “ARC from Wallingford.” They get the award for most ridiculous Sound Off of 2020. They are upset at Pence and McConnell for getting the vaccine. Guess they missed bumbling Biden getting his shot. I assume you credit President Trump for not getting one as he said give it to people who need it more. Or do you just want Democrats to get it?
