VIDEO: What a Biden presidency will mean for North American relations

MEXICO CITY – Four academics from three countries got together on Tuesday to make predictions on what a Biden presidency will mean for North America relations. 

The conversation on Facebook was hosted by the Olof Palme Center Mexico. 

The academics were María-Cristina Rosas from Mexico, Kim Richard Nossal from Canada, and David Shirk and Tony Payan from the United States.

Rosas is a professor and researcher in the faculty of political and social sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City. Her analysis starts 3:15 minutes into the video. 

Nossal is a professor emeritus at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. His analysis starts 15:10 minutes into the video. 

Shirk is department chair and professor in the department of political science and international relations at the the University of San Diego. His analysis starts 24 minutes into the video.

Payan is the Françoise and Edward Djerejian Fellow for Mexico Studies and director of the Center for the United States and Mexico at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy. His analysis starts 37:40 minutes into the video.

Following the presentations, the panelists respond to the remarks heard thus far and take questions from the viewers. This portion of the video starts one hour into the video.
