HOUSTON – The University of Houston Soccer program and Head Coach Diego Bocanegra announced the Cougars' spring schedule on Tuesday.

With a 12-match regular season that includes two exhibitions, Houston will spend the majority of its contests inside Carl Lewis Stadium and within the city limits at neighboring fields.

To begin the season, the Cougars will remain in Houston for an exhibition contest at Rice on Jan. 30. Following Houston's home opener against Houston Baptist on Feb. 4, the Cougars will host its neighbor across Scott Street in Texas Southern on Feb. 10.

Houston will then travel to North Carolina to compete against American Athletic Conference opponent ECU at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium on Feb. 13 for its league opener.

The Cougars return to Carl Lewis Stadium for back-to-back home contests against UTSA (Feb. 18) and SMU (Feb. 21) before traveling north to Ohio to face Cincinnati on Feb. 28.

After returning to Cullen Boulevard to face Rice in a regular-season matchup on March 3, the Cougars will then square up with McNeese on March 7 for an exhibition. Houston will return to conference action on March 14 when the Cougars travel to Memphis.

For its four final contests, Houston will host three matches against Tulsa (March 21), USF (March 28) and Temple (April 2), before concluding its regular season at UCF on April 11.

The American Athletic Conference will host its championship on April 15 and April 17 at the site of the No. 1 seed.
