No. 9 Baseball releases 2021 schedule

The Longhorns will open their home slate against BYU, Feb. 24-27 at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

AUSTIN, Texas – No. 9 Texas Baseball announced its 2021 schedule, featuring 34 home games at UFCU Disch-Falk Field and 18 total games against preseason top-25 ranked teams.

Official game times and TV designations will be released at a later date.

Following the season-opening tournament at Globe Life Field in Arlington, the Longhorns will open their home slate at UFCU Disch-Falk Field with a four-game series against BYU from Feb. 24-27. Texas then welcomes Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to Austin for the first midweek game of the season on March 2 before a quick trip to Texas State on March 3.

The Longhorns head back on the road to Houston to face the Cougars, March 5-7, before Sam Houston State comes to Austin for a March 9 midweek match-up.

Texas will host a marquee non-conference series against No. 18 South Carolina, March 12-14, at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The Longhorns and Gamecocks will meet for the first time since the 2002 National Championship game in Omaha, Neb.

After a Tuesday night contest with UTRGV, the Longhorns head to Baylor to open Big 12 Conference play, March 19-21. In the previously announced league schedule, Texas hosts Oklahoma (March 26-28), travels to Kansas (April 1-3) and hosts K-State (April 9-11). In the back half of league play, Texas goes to Oklahoma State (April 23-25) before hosting Texas Tech (April 30-May 2). The Longhorns finish up conference play with a trip to TCU (May 7-9) before hosting West Virginia (May 20-22) to end the regular season.

Texas will play a midweek game at Texas A&M in College Station on March 30. In mid-April, the Longhorns step out of conference play for a weekend series against Abilene Christian at UFCU Disch-Falk Field, April 16-18.

The Longhorns end the regular season with five-straight home games, starting with Texas Southern on May 11 before a bye weekend. Texas them hosts Rice for a midweek and West Virginia, May 20-22.
