Ioanna Sacha Tabbed The American Swimmer of the Week

Cougar senior earned a trio of top finishes against Rice
HOUSTON – University of Houston Swimming & Diving senior Ioanna Sacha was announced as the American Athletic Conference Swimmer of the week on Tuesday afternoon.
Sacha earned a trio of first-place finishes and D1 B-Cut times last week as she helped the Cougars earn a senior day victory over Rice. She placed first in the 100 Back touching in at 53.40, besting her previous lifetime best for the second-fastest time in program history. Sacha also finished at the top of the podium in the 200 IM clocking in at 1:59.84. In the 200 Back, Sacha clocked a time of 1:55.44.
This marks the second weekly honor for Sacha this season.
