C-USA Offensive Player of the Week – Nicole Lennon, Rice, Sr., Katy, TX
Lennon did it all for the Owls while helping guide her team to their 9th and 10th consecutive victories. The Katy, Texas native totaled 46 kills over 8 sets (5.75 per set) all while hitting .297. She posted back-to-back 20+ kill performances, including a season-high 26 kills on Sunday. In addition, Lennon totaled 42 digs (5.25 per set) which included 25 digs on Sunday for a 20-kill/20-dig performance.
C-USA Defensive Player of the Week – Amani McArthur, Charlotte, So., Summerville, SC
McArthur defended her Defensive Player of the Week honors with another superb showing in a pair of 3-1 wins at Florida Atlantic. After shattering her career high in blocking last week, McArthur did it again on Sunday with 10 total blocks, including five solo, to re-set those career highs in Charlotte’s first win. The middle blocker also hit .308 with a half-dozen kills on Sunday. On Monday, seven more blocks followed with three solo, hitting .571 with four kills in an error-free afternoon. McArthur picked up 17 total blocks on the week without an error for 2.12 blocks/set. The sophomores 10 kills and .400 hitting percentage goes along with her 2.81 points/set and 1.25 kills/set average for the weekend.
C-USA Setter of the Week – Carly Graham, Rice, Jr., Spring, TX
Graham had a career weekend for the Owls, totaling 109 assists over 8 sets while helping the Owls improve to 10-0 in C-USA…Graham started the weekend by posting a career-high 66 assists in a 3-2 win over North Texas, the most assists by an Owl in five years…she then turned around and dished out 43 more helpers on Monday, an average of 14.3 assists per set…her weekend totals included 13.62 assists per set.
C-USA Freshman of the Week – Taylor Eisert, Middle Tennessee, Fr., Louisville, Kentucky
Eisert averaged 11.44 assists per set in the series against Marshall. Eisert put up a career-best 21 digs, registering a double-double with 51 assists in Sunday’s match. She also notched a career-high two blocks. In Monday’s win, Eisert collected 52 assists and 11 digs to earn her second straight double-double. She also picked up two aces for the third time this season. Eisert has collected 50+ assists in four matches this season. She currently leads the team with 382 assists.
