2024 LBPF FEATURED ARTIST // REINALDO GIL ZAMBRANO

We're so excited to announce that Reinaldo Gil Zambrano is the featured artist for Last Best Print Fest 2024!

ABOUT REINALDO
Reinaldo Gil Zambrano is an award-winning printmaking artist based in Spokane, WA from Caracas, Venezuela. His journey started when he received a scholarship to the United World Colleges in Costa Rica, where he earned a bilingual IB diploma. As a Shelby-Davis scholar, he completed his BFA and MFA in the US, moving to become a beloved community builder, artist, and art professor in Spokane, WA. Reinaldo’s works use printmaking and collaboration heavily linked to community building and include mural work and installation. Reinaldo has been awarded multiple first prizes and recognitions for his visual work and young teaching career. His work is part of several collections nationally and internationally. He has offered workshops and lectures as a visiting artist at many universities across the United States. Reinaldo’s work investigates the universal idea of home and the issues we share as humans while preserving people’s stories through visual storytelling.

Theme: Proustian Moment ( A “Proustian moment” is when a particular scent conjures up a certain experience, time or place.)

About Last Best Print Fest (LBPF):
Last Best Print Fest is an annual month-long event devoted to the wonderful world of printmaking and features the ZACC’s Laura Grace Barrett Public Print Shop. Each LBPF we feature a local print artist, host a portfolio exchange and print auction, and provide free printmaking demos. A gallery opening will take place on second Friday, July 12, 5-8 PM and exhibit through July 31.

About LBPF Gallery Event & Portfolio Exchange:
As part of the upcoming 2024 Last Best Print Fest, the ZACC Print Shop is hosting its 13th Annual Portfolio Exchange. All printmakers are invited to submit an edition of 12 prints based on the theme 'Proustian Moment'. Of the edition of twelve, ten of the prints will be redistributed to other participants in a random selection process. One print will be on display in the ZACC Main Gallery, as part of the LBPF exhibition/silent auction. The last will be retained as part of a complete set for the ZACC Print Shop Archive.

How to submit/participate:
To participate in the Portfolio Exchange we require that you register through Submittable.

  10. How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.

Donation Refund Policy

We are grateful for your donation and support of our organization. If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to our organization please contact us. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
