BATON ROUGE, La. – The New Orleans track & field program set 17 new personal bests as the Privateers competed at the Boots Garland Invitational, hosted by LSU, at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium on an overcast Saturday.

Elliott Cummings kept his hot streak going as he posted a new personal best of 10.42 in the men's 100m dash. The performance was good for an eighth-place finish overall and slots into a tie for fifth in the Southland Conference.

Allie Louis set a huge personal record of 2:17.96 in the women's 800m. The time currently ranks inside the Top-10 in the conference and sits just outside the top-10 performance list in UNO history.

Vojislav Gvero took second overall in the men's hammer throw as the standout thrower posted a best heave of 60.28m (197-09).
- The men's 3000m crew put on an absolute show as the Privateers controlled the race from start to finish.
Kristian Oatman led the pack as he claimed the event's title with an 8:44.00 performance. Right behind him was
Cameron Carpenter in second (8:49.37),
Alexander Soileau in fifth (8:56.10) and
Chandler Sullivan in sixth (9:01.43). All four Privateers who raced set a new personal best.

Cade Litolff went off for a new personal record of 3:58.44 in the men's 1500m. The time was good for a fourth-place finish in the event and sits 21st overall in the Southland.
- The Privateers made it a perfect 4-for-4 in setting new personal bests in the women's 1500m.
Ariana Jimenez paced the group with a third-place finish at 4:43.33.
Anna Martin was close behind in ninth (4:54.28) while
Amelia Bretz (13th/4:59.21) and
Holly Hedrick (17th/5:03.58) rounded out the race for UNO.

Quentin Faulkner won his heat and placed 13th overall in the men's 800 with a new PR of 2:01.25.

New Orleans won't have long to catch its breath as the Privateers are back for the J. Fred Duckett Twilight, hosted by Rice University, on Saturday, April 24 at the Wedel D. Ley Track & Holloway Field.
