Southern Miss Baseball Slated to Play Doubleheader Friday to Open Rice Series: Will Start at 4 p.m.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Conference USA baseball series opener for Southern Miss at Rice will now start as a doubleheader Friday beginning at 4 p.m., due to expected rain in the Houston area this weekend.
The series is slated to finish with 1 p.m., single games on both Saturday and Sunday.
The Golden Eagles, ranked No. 23 by D1Baseball.com and No. 22 the USA Today coaches poll, head into the weekend with a 26-13 overall record and are 13-6 in Conference USA play, holding down second in the West Division.
All four games this weekend can be heard on an affiliate of the Southern Miss Sports Network by Learfield IMG College or through the Southern Miss Game Day app, as well as via webstream at C-USA.TV.
