La. Tech holds the series advantage with a 5-4 record, four of Tech's five wins were by one goal. 
McNeese however, is 3-1 when the two meet in Lake Charles.

Last Time On The Field
The Cowgirls are coming off an opening week that saw a 3-0 victory against Jackson State, and an overtime battle that just fell short against Houston. Keely Morrow earned SLC defender of the week honors for her efforts in both matches.

Scouting Opponents
Louisiana Tech comes into Lake Charles after a 4-0 shutout victory over Louisiana College on Wednesday night (Aug. 25). They defeated East Texas Baptist 9-0 and dropped a match against Murray State (3-2) during last week's opening matchups. La. Tech is led by 2020-21 Third Team All-Conference USA and All-South Region defender Josie Studer.

Sam Houston will host Grambling on Friday. SHSU opened the season with two losses against talented teams Rice and LSU, respectively. The Bearkats are led by returning leading scorer Brooke Jones. 

All fans are encouraged to come out for "Food Truck Friday" and support the Cowgirls. Students can participate in the "Fan vs. Food" eating contest at halftime.
