MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's soccer team (2-2-1) continues its homestand on Sunday as they welcome the Houston Baptist Huskies to Hayes Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

Senior Peyton DePriest currently leads the NCAA D-I in career goals scored for student-athletes that have played their entire collegiate career at the Division I level with 49 goals scored throughout her five-year career.
 
Against the Ole Miss Rebels last Thursday, DePriest's 49^th career goal tied the C-USA all-time record for career goals scored and matched the mark set by Marquette's Kelly Roethe from 1996-99.

Week of Firsts
Four Blue Raiders have netted their first career goals over the past two contests against Evansville and Detroit Mercy. Freshmen and Denmark duo Kirstine Lykke and Sascha Nielsen scored the Blue Raiders pair of goals against the Purple Aces, while Junior Elizabeth Slavinksy and sophomore Taylor Hamlett scored the first goals of their careers in the Blue Raiders comeback victory over the Titans on Thursday.
 
Scouting the Blue Raiders
The Blue Raiders are paced offensively by DePriest with three goals through the Blue Raiders first five games this season. Junior Elizabeth Slavinksy and Cambell Kivisto, sophomore Taylor Hamlett, ad freshmen Kirstine Lykke and Sascha Nielsen have all recorded one goal for the Blue Raiders this season. Senior Miya Lennon has dished out a team-leading two assists through the first five games this season.
 
Junior keeper Hannah Suder has led the Blue Raiders in goal this season, tallying 380 minutes in net and a team-high 16 saves through the Blue. Raiders five games.
 
Scouting the Huskies
Houston Baptist is currently in its first season under head coach Chris Dodd, producing a 0-4 record through the team's first four games of the season.
 
Noor Abukishk has led the Huskies through their first four games, scoring Houston Baptist's only goal this season against fellow C-USA member the Rice Owls.
 
Karla Ramirez has played all four games in net for the Huskies, posting 366 minutes in goal and a team-high 22 saves on the season.

Last Time Out
The Blue Raiders earned a 2-1 comeback victory against the Detroit Mercy Titans on Thursday. The Titans opened the scoring, netting a goal in the 31^st minute, but Middle Tennessee's Slavinksy responded quickly by tapping in a ball from Hamlett to even the contest at one each heading into halftime. Shortly after the start of the second half, Hamlett scored a goal of her own and the first of her career off a ball from DePriest and sophomore Eleanor Gough, which proved to be the game-winner and seal the Blue Raiders 2-1 comeback win over the Titans.
 
DePriest led the team on shots with five, while senior Sam DeBien put the most on target with three in the contest. DePriest, Gough, and Hamlett all tallied an assist in the match.
 
Suder played all 90 minutes in net for the Blue Raiders, securing four saves in the contest.

Series History
Sunday's contest between Middle Tennessee Soccer and Houston Baptist marks the first-ever meeting between the Blue Raiders and the Huskies.
