It didn’t take long for new Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian to experience his first taste of what its like to be the Texas coach after a loss. After the Longhorns were blown out by the Arkansas Razorbacks, Sarkisian needs to find answers quickly.

Perhaps to his advantage, the Longhorns get to square off against another former Southwest Conference rival, the Rice Owls. The Owls played the Razorback close for three quarters two weeks ago, but couldn’t keep up late. Now they’re heading into Austin 0-2 on the year after a drubbing at the hands of the Houston Cougars on Saturday.

Steve Sarkisian addresses the media ahead of the matchup with particular focus on how he addresses the burgeoning quarterback controversy between redshirt freshman starter Hudson Card and junior Casey Thompson following Card’s poor performance against Arkansas.
