BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – North Texas cross country travels to the Texas A&M Invitational Saturday for a men's 8k and a women's 6k race at Watts Cross Country Course.
The Mean Green will compete against Texas A&M, Arkansas – Little Rock, Baylor, Prairie View A&M, Rice, Tarleton State, Texas A&M International, Texas A&M-Kingsville, UTSA and Texas Southern (men only). The men begin at 8 a.m. followed by the women at 8:45.
"It's going to be a fun weekend to get on the road and see the group mix it up in longer races," head cross country coach Matt Layten said. "It'll be a great opportunity for many in our program to get in their first race at the collegiate distances."
