MONTGOMERY, Texas – Three University of Houston Men's Golfers completed Second-Round play at the Bentwater Intercollegiate at Bentwater Yacht & Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Junior Marcus Wochner and freshman Julio Rios-Brache were tied for 39th at 149 to lead the Cougars. Freshman Logan Vargas was tied for 44th at 150.
Sam Houston State's Chad Sewell moved into the individual lead at 8-under 134 after firing a 65 Tuesday on the 6,788-yard, par-71 Miller Course. He stood four shots ahead of teammate Gene Chaikangwal and Rice's Harrison Hineline.
Sam Houston State held the second-day team lead at 568 with South Alabama and Midland College tied for second at 579. Florida Atlantic (581) and Texas State (582) rounded out the Top Five.

UP NEXT
Following the Bentwater Intercollegiate, the Cougars close out their fall schedule when they compete at The Williams Cup presented by Stitch Golf on Oct. 25-26 at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, N.C.
From there, Houston will take its winter break before opening the spring season at the Border Olympics on Feb. 14-15 at Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Texas.
