PHILADELPHIA - Vaughan Moss, who has over a dozen years of marketing experience at the collegiate level, has been named Assistant Athletics Director for Branding and Digital Strategy, announced Deputy Director of Athletics Craig Angelos.

"We are excited to welcome Vaughan to the Temple Athletics family," said Angelos.  "Vaughan has proven success running digital strategy, most recently at Georgetown, and has the perfect skill set to head this area for Temple Athletics."

Moss spent the last three years at Georgetown as the Hoyas' Assistant Director of Athletics for Marketing.  There he was responsible for implementing marketing and promotions strategies to accomplish department revenue generation, fan development and brand management goals.  He led efforts to improve the overall digital and social media content creation strategy to maximize brand awareness opportunities for teams to recruit prospective student athletes and fans.

Moss also expanded Georgetown's partnership with INFLCR content platform to support student-athlete growth on social media and prepare for new opportunities with changes in NCAA "Name, Image, Likeness" policy.

"I'm thankful to Craig Angelos for the opportunity to join the Temple Athletics external staff and support the Owls coaches and student-athletes in their pursuit of success on and off the field of play," said Moss.  "Growing up in the Mid-Atlantic region, I'm well aware of the very rich history and tradition of Temple Athletics programs.  I'm excited to help continue to grow the Temple Owls brand in the Philadelphia area and beyond."

Prior to his time at Georgetown, Moss served two years on the athletics staff at VCU as the Rams' Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Promotions.  At VCU, he executed ticket sales and marketing strategies to continue the men's basketball home sellout streak from 84 to 117 consecutive games. He also helped set a new single game and season average attendance records for 2016-17 women's basketball season.

Moss, who earned his bachelor's degree from Hampton University ('08) and master's degree from Georgetown ('10), also made stops along the way at Rice, where he served as Director of Marketing for athletics from 2014-16, and Richmond, where he served his first two years in group sales (2010-12) before being promoted to Director of Marketing (2012-14).
