MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Soccer is prepped for its final regular season road contest as the Blue Raiders travel to Houston, Texas to face the Rice Owls at Holloway Field at 7 p.m. CT on Friday.
C-USA Leader
Senior
Peyton DePriest continues to pace Conference USA in goals scored (10), shots (68), shots on goal (32), goals per game (.71), points per game (1.64), shots per game (4.64), and shots on goal per game (2.21), as well as tying for the conference lead in total points (23).
Nationally, DePriest currently leads all NCAA D-I as the active career leader in goals scored at the D-I level with 56 goals over her five-year career.

Hannah Suder retook her second-place spot in C-USA for saves on the season, tallying 10 over the two contests this past week, including an impressive seven-save performance in a 2-0 shutout against the UTEP Miners.
Scouting the Blue Raiders
Middle Tennessee enters this weekend's contest in third place in C-USA East with a 8-6-1 record on the season and a 4-2 mark in C-USA play.
DePriest leads Conference USA and the Blue Raiders with 10 goals, as well as adding three assists for a conference-leading 23 points through 15 games this season. Freshman
Kirstine Lykke has scored a team second-best three goals this season, as well as recording a pair of assists for the Blue Raiders. Senior

Suder has been a dominant force for the Blue Raiders between the posts this season, recording a C-USA second-best 64 saves through 15 games and playing 1,394 minutes in net for Middle Tennessee this season. Suder has also recorded three shutouts.
Scouting the Owls
The Rice Owls are in their third season under head coach Brian Lee, who has led the Owls to a 33-14-5 record during his time in Houston.
As a team, the Owls lead C-USA in total saves with, saves per game with 5.20, and assists with 31 through 15 games.
Offensively, Rice has 10 goal scorers so far this season, which is led by Delaney Schultz, who ranks just behind DePriest in C-USA this season with eight goals scored. Caleigh Boeckx follows behind with a team second-best three goals this season, while Vyviene Spaulding, Natalie Gorji, and Izzy McBride have also scored a pair of goals for the Owls this season.
In net, the Owls are led by conference saves leader Bella Killgore, who has played 1,408 minutes between the posts and tallied 74 saves through 15 games this season. Killgore has also recorded three shutouts.
Last Time Out
The Blue Raiders fell to the UAB Blazers, 1-0, in a matchup that didn't hold any conference implications on Sunday.
The Blue Raiders outshot the Blazers 7-5, including a 3-2 advantage with shots on goal, over the first 45 minutes of play, however neither program could get a shot to fall as the two teams entered the halftime break in a stalemate.
However, the Blazers came out of the locker room with a strong presence, outscoring the Blue Raiders 12-3 during the second half and were able to find the back of the net in the 63
rd minute, which eventually proved to be the game-winner.
Series History
Friday's matchup marks the eighth all-time meeting between Rice and the Blue Raiders. The two programs last met on Nov. 6, 2019, which saw the No. 3-seeded Owls secure a 4-2 win in Denton during the C-USA Tournament quarterfinals. In their last five meetings, Rice holds a 3-1-1 record over the Blue Raiders, however the series remains even for contests played in Houston, 1-1-1.
