DENTON -- The North Texas soccer team will honor its seniors and play its final regular season match of the 2021 season Thursday at 7 p.m. CT versus Rice at the North Texas Soccer and Track & Field Stadium.

The Mean Green (8-4-3, 3-3-1) need a victory over the Owls (10-5-1, 4-3-0) Thursday to clinch a first round bye at the 2021 Conference USA women's soccer championship next week in Boca Raton, Florida. UNT hasn't lost a home conference match in 64 consecutive games dating back to Oct. 31, 2008. North Texas is on a eight-match unbeaten streak to Rice and haven't lost to the Owls since 2014. The Mean Green beat Rice last year in Houston 2-1.

Four Mean Green seniors will be honored before Thursday's first kick: Hanna Banks, Connor Barker, Olivia Klein and Steph Starr.

The four have been crucial members to the program over the past few years. Fifth-year seniors Brooke Lampe and Elle Marie DeFrain who had their senior day last season will also be recognized as it will be their final home match of their college careers.

Thursday's match begins at 7 p.m. CT and will be streamed live on CUSA.tv.
