Houston Tennis to Complete Fall Schedule at Tulsa

Cougars to travel to Oklahoma Friday
HOUSTON – Houston Tennis will travel to Tulsa on Friday to wrap up its fall schedule with a weekend tournament concluding on Sunday.
The Cougars are coming off a successful weekend at the Rice Invitational seeing multiple top finishes in both doubles and singles competition.
In three days of play at Rice, Laura Slisane and Sophie Gerits both saw victories against Texas A&M opponents in singles, three pairs came out victorious in doubles against SMU and Texas A&M, Maria Dzemeshkevich defeated an opponent from BYU while Blanca Cortijo Perreno defeated an opponent from UTA. On the final day of competition, Slisane, Gabriela Giraldo, Gerits, and Dzemeshkevich all scored the last of the tournament's points for Houston.
SERIES HISTORY
Since the 2000-01 season, Houston has competed against Tulsa 13 times holding a 2-11 series record against the Golden Hurricanes. The Cougars look to secure victories throughout the weekend tournament seeing the last defeat of Tulsa in the 2014-15 season.
