On Monday’s Houston Matters: Friday was the deadline imposed by a state lawmaker and candidate for Texas Attorney General, who asked some school districts whether they had certain books in their libraries. We discuss what motivated the request and how schools have responded.

Also this hour: This week, the Mayor's Office of Resilience and Sustainability is hosting its second annual virtual Houston Climate Week. The conference will update the public on the implementation of the Resilient Houston plan and the Houston Climate Action Plan. We talk about how Houston could be redesigned with people in mind instead of cars.
