UNT System Selects New Chancellor

University of North Texas System

Dr. Michael R. Williams

Dr. Michael R. Williams, Chancellor

Dr. Williams has been selected the sole finalist to become the fourth chancellor of the University of North Texas System. He is currently president of the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. In his new role, he will be responsible for all aspects of the UNT System’s operations, including management of more than 13,000 employees and oversight of the three UNT campuses—UNT in Denton, UNT Health Science Center at Fort Worth, and UNT Dallas—as well as additional campuses in downtown Dallas and Frisco. He will succeed Dr. Lesa Roe.

Williams practiced anesthesiology and critical care medicine in Texas for more than 20 years. He served as CEO of Hill Country Memorial Hospital for five years before being appointed to the UNT System’s board of regents.

Imaginuity

Corbett Guest

Corbett Guest, President

In his new role, Corbett Guest will oversee marketing agency Imaginuity’s professional services disciplines. Guest was previously chief strategy and innovation officer at Imaginuity. Before that, he was director of strategy and creative at US Web/MarchFirst, director of product development at Vectrix, and a recording artist with Geffen Records in Los Angeles.

Whitley Penn

Felix Lozano

Felix Lozano, Chief Growth Officer

Felix Lozano has more than 31 years of public accounting experience, auditing public and private companies, employee benefit plans, family offices, and businesses. His specific audit experience focuses on forensic accounting, fraud auditing, and special services related to internal control assessments. Lozano previously served as a partner and director of audit as Whitely Penn.

Eyemart Express

Katy Hanson

Katy Hanson, Chief Marketing Officer

As CMO, Katy Hanson will lead Eyemart Express’ marketing operations, including strategy development and implement multi-channel media plans and brand initiatives. Hanson has served on Eyemart Express’ leadership team as interim CMO since January 2021. Prior to that, she spent two years as vice president of strategy and planning. Before joining Eyemart Express in 2016, Hanson held leadership roles at Blockbuster and Michaels Stores.

Peter Kent

Peter Kent, Chief Commercial Officer

Before joining ClubCorp, Peter Kent served as chief commercial officer for ILITCH Sports and Entertainment, managing commercial aspects for the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, 313 Presents, and Olympia Development. He has also held posts with Nike Golf and PGA Tour. In his new role, he will focus on creating innovative ways to drive revenue.

Brian Jensen

Brian Jensen, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communication

In this newly created role, Brian Jensen will lead a new marketing and communications program, oversee internal and external communications, branding, media relations, digital marketing, social media strategy, and content creation. Previously, Jensen served as head of marketing and communications for the Americas, senior managing director of global communications, and vice president of digital marketing at Cushman and Wakefield.

Jay Clingman

Jay Clingman, Vice Chairman of Commercial Bank Operations

Jay Clingman served at JPMorgan Chase & Co. for over three decades in key regional markets across the state, most recently as managing director for middle market banking in North Texas and Oklahoma. In his newly created position, Clingman will be a member of the bank’s operating committee and work directly with commercial banking teams, including corporate, middle market, and business banking.

Jeremy Reed

Jeremy Reed, Commercial Closing Attorney and Senior Vice President of National Commercial Services

Jeremy Reed will join his long-time former colleague Adam Rachavong, where they will lead MBL’s commercial closing team. Reed previously served at Stewart Title Guaranty Co. for fourteen years, where he underwrote and closed high-value transactions, including a $700 million 50-site national hotel credit facility, a $250 million 35-site office building refinance, a $216 million 3-site multifamily construction project, a $150 million multifamily development, a $126 million office building, and a $115 million three-site industrial acquisition.

John Strasisus

John Strasius, Commercial Civil Practice Leader

In his new role, John Strasius’ will set practice strategies and goals and oversee business development. He will also regularly communicate with leaders from the firm’s other global offices to share best practices, identify trends, and coordinate client service. Strasius has been with Perkins & Will for 17 years.

The Retail Connection

Nikki Mann

Nikki Mann, Manager of Digital Graphics and Social Media of Marketing

Nikki Mann has been promoted to manager of digital graphics and social media in The Retail Connection’s marketing department. She initially joined The Retail Connection as a GIS analyst in the Dallas office, assisting the research department. She previously worked for CBRE as a GIS analyst.

Andrew Puryear

Andrew Puryear, Portfolio Strategist

Andrew Puryear joined Tolleson Wealth Management in 2021 after spending nearly a decade at UBS Financial Services, where he was most recently a senior wealth strategy associate in the private wealth management division. He focused on developing and implementing customized portfolios for high net-worth individuals and private foundations.

Sachin Shroff

Sachin Shroff, Board Member

Sachin Shroff serves as vice president of CRM, loyalty, and marketing technology for The Michaels Cos. He has held similar executive positions with The Container Store and various marketing agencies, helping numerous Fortune 500 clients. Additionally, he spent 13 years as an adjunct faculty, teaching at the North Lake Community College in Dallas.

Kelvin Walker

Kelvin Walker serves as the chief executive officer of the Dallas Citizens Council. He serves on the boards of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas and the Southwestern Medical Foundation.

The former vice president and general counsel of Exxon Mobil Corp., Randy Ebner has served on the Center for American and International Law board since June 2017. Throughout his career, Ebner has been actively involved with many legal-professional organizations, including serving on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Legal Reform Board of Directors.
