Mohit Aron the Father of Hyperconvergence

FREMONT, CA: Hyperconvergence is a term that not everyone is familiar with, the IT framework combines storage computing and networking into a single system that helps minimizing data issues and aids in scalability as organizations can eliminate multiple storage and computable systems.

Mohit Aron, referred to as the Father of Hyperconvergence, used the technology as the main technology of the product at his first startup, Nutanix, a cloud computing company with a valuation of over $5billion. Mohit was one of Google's workers during its genesis, he was part of the team that created the Google File System, which the company still uses for data storage and access. His contributions to the tech ecosystem cannot be overstated. Mohit, however, was not happy to rest on his success, in 2013 he founded Cohesity, a startup that builds technology to assist businesses manage, backup, and derive insights from data across numerous cloud providers and systems.

Born in Chandigarh to  a homemaker mother and a father who worked for the Indian Forest Service, Mohit spent  most of his youth in Punjab.  Motivated by the emerging trend of computers during the 80s, Mohit secured a high JEE rank of 53 and enrolled inti IIT- Delhi for computer science. He completed his graduation in 1995 and got into Rice university in Houston where he completed his PhD in computer science

In 2013, Mohit built Cohesity, a logical platform that could perform multiple operations behind the scenes, was easy to manage, and consolidated. As the enterprise data customers use is fragmented between the data centres and the cloud, Cohesity consolidated data for before working on  backups and extended to data management. He constructed the web scan or hyperscale file system, as well as the remote replication or Cohesity cluster which can be used in disaster recovery services to assist copy data over a wide area network quickly.
