Houston Swimming & Diving Opens Spring Schedule Friday

Cougars to honor its senior class for a senior night tri-meet
HOUSTON – Houston Swimming & Diving will open its spring schedule at 2 pm Friday at the CRWC Natatorium. The Cougars will honor its three seniors as they host SMU and Rice for a senior night tri-meet.
"We are looking forward to honoring our seniors on Friday," stated Head Coach Tanica Jamison. "They have accomplished so much and they are not done yet."
The three seniors, Rachel Hicks, Shayla Erickson and Hannah Esopenko, will be joined by family, friends, and coaches and teammates to honor their accomplishments during their time spent as Cougars. The ceremony will begin at 1:45 pm with the first event of the meet beginning fifteen minutes after the conclusion of the presentation.
"I wish we had a few more years to work together; their leadership will be missed," said Jamison. "I cannot wait to see what's in store for them in the near future."
Houston Swimming & Diving is entering its spring schedule following a successful fall meet season seeing victories at the Rice Invitational, Houston Diving Invitational, and sixth annual Phill Hansel Invitational.
UP NEXT
The Cougars will travel to Tulane on Jan. 22 to face the Green Wave before returning to the CRWC Natatorium on Feb. 4-5 for the final regularly-scheduled spring meet of the season. American Athletic Conference and NCAA competition will follow thereafter.
