Product details

Narrow shelves help you use small wall spaces effectively by accommodating small items in a minimum of space.

Adjustable shelves can be arranged according to your needs.

A simple unit can be enough storage for a limited space or the foundation for a larger storage solution if your needs change.

  • Min. ceiling height required: 80¾".

    Keep in mind that you need enough space between the top of the furniture and the ceiling to be able to anchor the product to the wall.

    1 stationary shelf and 4 adjustable shelves included.

    May be used with BILLY corner hardware to form a stable corner unit.

    May be used with doors; available in different colors and designs.

    May be completed with extra shelves to add storage space.

    Can be used with BILLY height extension unit in the same width for added storage vertically.

    Product is possible to recycle or use for energy recovery, if available in your community.

    This product is suitable for use in a public environment since the design and the material are optimized for frequent use.

SO easy to assemble, even with a giant labrador retriever "helping" me. The first one took 20 minutes, the other two took about ten minutes apiece. Get these before they're discontinued. 5

Awesome product. Able to store heaps of books etc. modern look. Have two with glass doors and two without. Look amazing side by side. Highly recommended

In an older house the Billy bookcases are perfect because two double-wides are too big, but three singles are a perfect fit!

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.

"It was 40 years ago I got the assignment to design a simple, functional and smart storage solution for books. I couldn't have imagined then that BILLY bookcase would wind up in so many homes across the whole world. I remember being especially pleased with the adjustable shelves and the depth of the bookcase - perfect for books. We were also able to transport it in a flat pack - an idea I was actually first to develop. The bookcase is still one of my favorites and I hope it continues to be around for many more years."
