LYNCHBURG, Va. - The North Texas swimming and diving teams will travel east to the Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championship, which are set to begin Wednesday and run through Saturday at the Liberty Natatorium, as the Mean Green will compete against FIU, Florida Atlantic, Marshall, Old Dominion and Rice.

Last year in Atlanta, the Mean Green tied for the best finish in program history at the C-USA Championship by finishing third at the meet with 468 points.

"I'm really excited for the team's performance at our Conference USA Championships," head coach Brittany Roth. "The strength of our team throughout this season has been our depth and our ability to come together in big moments. Our team members have worked really hard this season preparing for this meet, and they have been a solid unit through ups and downs. The championship will be a total team effort, and I'm looking forward to watching the team band together and really shine as a whole."

Competition will begin Wednesday with the 200 medley relay final and the 800 freestyle relay final before more events hit the schedule Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The 3-meter springboard diving final will be Thursday evening, the 1-meter diving final will be Friday evening and the platform final will be Saturday evening before the meet's final event - the 400 freestyle relay.

Conference USA will have free live streams each day available on CUSA.tv for event finals as well as provide live stats and results.
