Houston opens season at 4 p.m. Friday vs. Texas Southern
HOUSTON – Houston Baseball has altered its weekend start times for matchups against Texas Southern and UTRGV from Sanders Field at Schroeder Park, head coach Todd Whitting announced Thursday.
Friday's first pitch against Texas Southern is now set for 4 p.m. Saturday's contest against UTRGV has also been bumped up to a 4 p.m. start. Sunday's finale against UTRGV will now begin at 1:30 p.m. Fans attending Sunday's Houston Men's Basketball game against SMU will be admitted into Schroeder Park for free by showing their men's basketball ticket.
All three Houston games, and all 32 home contests, can be seen on ESPN+. The matchups can also be heard on The Varsity Network app and Cougars All-Access.
Below are updates times for the full weekend slate which also features a pair of matchups between Texas Southern and UTGV. Fans purchasing tickets to Houston's Friday and Saturday matchups will be admitted to the earlier contest at no additional cost.
Friday:
Noon – UTRGV vs. Texas Southern*
4 p.m. – Houston vs. Texas Southern
Saturday:
Noon – UTRGV vs. Texas Southern*
4 p.m. – Houston vs. UTRGV
Sunday:
1:30 p.m. – Houston vs. UTRGV
*minimum 45 minutes between games
