Cougars Make Staff Additions

Holgorsen announces updates Friday

HOUSTON – With spring practice officially underway, Houston Football Head Coach Dana Holgorsen announced the additions of five new staff members on Friday.

T.J. Randall joins Houston as its Assistant Director of Player Personnel (offense). The Clovis, California, native joins the Cougars from Liberty where he served in a similar capacity since July 1, 2018. The University of La Verne alumnus joined the Flames in 2018 as a football operations graduate assistant before transitioning to a player personnel capacity.

Harding Harper comes to Houston as its Assistant Director of Player Personnel (defense) after spending the 2021 season at Colorado as a football recruiting assistant. The Birmingham, Alabama, native was a three-year letterman at linebacker for Vanderbilt where he received his degree in 2016. Previous coaching staff stops include Penn State, Missouri, and Lycoming College. 

Darrell Grant and Adrian Romero provide support to Houston's digital staff, serving as Director of Creative Video and Assistant Director of Creative Media, respectfully. Grant was previously with the Atlanta Falcons as a seasonal digital video intern for the 2021-22 season. He graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2021. Romero was a creative content graduate assistant with Southern Miss Athletics from August 2021-February 2022. He previously worked with the Houston Roughnecks. He graduated from Texas Tech in August 2019.

Chris Forestier joins Houston as its Special Teams Analyst. Forestier comes to Houston after serving as special teams analyst and interim coordinator at LSU from 2016-21. Forestier was part of the Tigers' national championship in 2019. Prior to LSU, he served as a graduate assistant coach at Northwestern State from 2014-15.

2022 Houston Football Schedule
In addition to non-conference games against Kansas (Sept. 17) and Rice (Sept. 24), Houston will also host American Athletic Conference foes Tulane (Sept. 30), USF (Oct. 29), Temple (Nov. 12) and Tulsa (Nov. 25-26). To see the full schedule, click here.
