DENTON – UNT Tennis will be at home in Waranch Tennis Complex for a pair of conference matches on Friday and Sunday. They will face Charlotte at 3 p.m. on Friday and Rice at noon on Sunday.

The Mean Green (8-4) are coming off a loss to No. 20 Baylor. Lucie Devier and Maria Ponomareva won two sets against No. 1 ranked doubles pair Alicia Herrero Linana and Melany Krywoj.

"To face two conference teams once again at home is an incredible opportunity," head coach Sujay Lama said. "We have established a culture of growth and competitiveness where we keep learning and improving on a weekly basis. We have been focused on one match at a time and that is exactly our mentality this week as well. Charlotte is a great team, and we feel ready to face them this Friday. We will think about Rice when the time comes. Go Green"

Charlotte (10-2) is currently ranked No. 41 and is on an eight-game winning streak. They boasted a 6-1 victory over North Florida on Saturday. The 49ers are led by No. 120 Margaux Maguet whom is 7-7 this season. Doubles pair including Maquet and Lucia Quiterio are ranked No. 31.

Rice (7-3) is currently No. 71 in ITA rankings. The Owls are coming off a 6-0 sweep of Sam Houston last weekend. They are led by Saara Orav who is 10-3 in singles play this season. Doubles pair Diae El Jardi and Maria Budin are 7-2 this season and are ranked No. 30. They will face Charlotte on Saturday ahead of Sunday's match against UNT.
