Ohio Men’s Basketball Accepts Bid to 2022 CBI

ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio men's basketball team (24-9) has accepted a bit to the Roman College Basketball Invitational (CBI). The third-seeded Bobcats will take on 14th-seeded Rice (16-16) on March 19 in Daytona Beach, Fla. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. inside the Daytona Beach Ocean Center. The game will be streamed on FloHoops.  
 
"We are very excited about the opportunity to play in the post season," head coach Jeff Boals said. "Our team had a very good year, and we look forward to continuing to compete We are excited to see all the Bobcats down in Florida."
 
The 16-team tournament will take place March 19-23 at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Fla. 
 
First round games will take place March 19 and 20 and the quarter finals on March 21. The semis will take place March 22, with the championship game scheduled for 5 p.m. on March 23. The first two rounds will be seen on FloHoops, with the semis and finals set to air on ESPN2. 
 
The Bobcats are 3-2 all-time in the CBI, playing in the tournament in 2008 and in 2016. The Bobcats advanced to the quarterfinals in 2016, defeating Albany and UNCG, before falling to Morehead State.
