Cougars, Aggies meet for 174th time

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Houston Baseball wraps up its four-game road trip at 5 p.m. Tuesday when it visits Texas A&M and Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. The contest can be seen on SEC Network+ and heard on The Varsity Network.
 
The Cougars (10-6), who have won 10 of their last 13 games, are looking to bounce back after a series loss over the weekend at Louisiana. Texas A&M (10-5) has won three of its last four games including taking 2 of 3 from Santa Clara last weekend.

Houston and Texas A&M meet for the 174th time in the history of the programs Tuesday. Texas A&M leads the all-time series 114-58-1. Over the last nine matchups, the Aggies lead the series 5-4 (2011-present) including a 9-4 win a season ago. The teams have met six times in the NCAA Tournament, splitting the matchups, 3-3.
 
Brandon Uhse is riding a 12-game hit streak and a 13-game on-base streak. Anthony Tulimero has reached base in 15 of 16 games this season (15-game streak snapped Sunday). Zach Arnold has reached base in 13 of 16 games. Samuel Tormos has reached in 11 of his 13 games played.
 
Houston ranks second in The American in triples (5), stolen bases (22) and walks allowed per nine innings (3.26). The Cougars are third in fielding percentage (.980).
 
UP NEXT
