Going into the 2022 football season, Longhorns Wire is looking at each scholarship player listed on the Texas roster.

Each profile will cover where the player is from, how recruiting websites rated him coming out of high school and what role he is expected to play for Steve Sarkisian this season.

We will kick things off with the top returning offensive threat in running back Bijan Robinson who will be entering his third year with the program. After being used sparingly as a freshman until late in the season, the Arizona native showed his worth as the lead back under Sark in 2021.

Depth Chart Overview

Coming off the injury suffered against Iowa State, Bijan Robinson is ready to roll again in 2022. As we head into spring football he is the No. 1 running back on the depth chart. That is for good reason, he has been the leading rusher in each of his two seasons on the Forty Acres.

Texas will once again have a great one-two punch with Robinson and Roschon Johnson at the top of the two-deep depth chart at running back. They also have former Alabama transfer Keilan Robinson, who can be explosive on offense as a receiver and runner. Newcomer Jaydon Blue and Jonathan Brooks will battle it out for RB4.
