BIRMINGHAM — The UAB baseball team's game versus Jacksonville State was canceled at the end of three innings due to heavy rain in the area. There will be no makeup date for the game.
 
The Blazers and Gamecocks were tied at three before the game went into a delay at 2:04 p.m. and was called 40 minutes later.
 
UAB will be back in action to open conference play in Houston when it takes on Rice for a three-game series.
