The North Texas men's golf team gets back to competition with a return trip to the All-American Intercollegiate after a great showing last week at the Louisiana Classics. 
 
THE EVENT: The Golf Club of Houston will play at 7,425 yards, and will be a par-72 course for the tournament. The two-day event begins Monday and will conclude on Tuesday, with a shotgun starts each day at 8 a.m. 
 
THE FIELD: There are 17 teams participating in the tournament: Abilene Christian, Arkansas State, No. 46 Baylor, No. 33 Florida State, Georgia State, Houston, Lamar, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, New Mexico State, North Texas, Rice, Sam Houston State, Texas State, ULM and UTSA.
 
REPRESENTING UNT: Competing for the Mean Green will be Vicente Marzilio, Diego Prone, Viktor Forslund, Lenny Bergsson and Tucker Allen.
 
RESULTS: Live results will be posted on GolfStat.com. Full recaps from each day of competition will be posted on MeanGreenSports.com at the end of each round. 
 
LAST TIME OUT: North Texas finished third at the Louisiana Classics last week, when the Mean Green were led by Prone, who finished tied for third to earn Conference USA Golfer of the Week honors. Marzilio finished tied for ninth to give the Mean Green two top-10 showings.

STRACKE SAYS: "The team finished strong in our last tournament, and we have a lot of momentum going into the All-American," UNT head coach Brad Stracke said. "The forecast looks interesting with 15-25 mph winds and rain. We're looking forward to the challenge."
 
INTERNATIONAL FLAVOR: The Mean Green feature six international players this year. Lenny Bergsson (Iceland), Viktor Forslund (Sweden), Nikhil Gopal (South Africa), Zak Karkaletsos (Spain), Diego Prone (Argentina) and Vicente Marzilio (Argentina) round out the international players.
 
UP NEXT: North Texas will head to The Hayt in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, on March 27-28.
