Houston took 2 of 3 from Tulane as part of an entertaining weekend at Schroeder Park. For the second time this season, and first since Feb. 25-27 (Texas Southern/UTRGV), Houston's offense produced more walks (15) than strikeouts (14). The Cougars set weekend series bests in average (.354) and matched their most home runs (5) and hits (35).

Houston and Houston Baptist have met 21 times in the history of the programs with the Cougars holding a 14-7 lead since the two began playing in 1966. Tuesday marks the first matchup between the teams since the Huskies downed Houston, 3-1, on March 6, 2018.

Houston is 8-1 in midweek matchups but is looking to bounce back after dropping a 9-1 decision to UTRGV last Tuesday. Cougar pitching has registered a 3.56 ERA in the midweek including holding foes to 1-for-13 (.077) with the bases loaded. Houston is hitting .315 (47-for-149) with runners.
