Start times bumped up for Cougars visit to South Florida

TAMPA, Fla. – Due to anticipated inclement weather, Houston Baseball's series at South Florida has been altered. The teams open the three-game set at 11 a.m. CT Friday. Saturday's first pitch is slated for 9 a.m. CT and Sunday's finale begins at 9 a.m. CT.

The Cougars (26-15, 7-5 American) have won three of their first four league series including taking 2 of 3 from Tulane last weekend. Houston is 1.0 game back of Tulane, UCF and East Carolina who sit tied atop the standings at 8-4.

South Florida (23-17, 4-8 American) is looking to continue making up ground in the league title race. The Bulls took 2 of 3 from Cincinnati a weekend ago after dropping their first three conference series. USF leads the conference in on-base percentage (.396) and is second in home runs (48).
