Houston hosts Kansas in home opener at 3 p.m. on ESPNU
HOUSTON – With 100 days until the start of its season, the University of Houston Football program announced game times and TV networks for six contests on Thursday.
The Cougars, who are expected to be ranked inside several Top 25 preseason polls, were picked to finish No. 24 in Athlon Sports' Top-25 rankings on Wednesday. Houston checked in at No. 13 in ESPN's updated way-too-early Top 25 last Thursday.

Saturday, Sept. 10 – at Texas Tech – 3 p.m. – FS1
Saturday, Sept. 17 – KANSAS – 3 p.m. – ESPNU
Friday, Sept. 30 – TULANE – 6 p.m. – ESPN
Friday, Oct. 7 – at Memphis – 6:30 p.m. – ESPN2
Saturday, Oct. 22 – at Navy – 11 a.m. – TBD (ESPN Family of Networks)

Houston opens its season at UTSA on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 2:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. The Cougars have won six of their last seven road openers and are 40-34-2 all-time in season openers.
The Cougars will face a pair of Big 12 Conference opponents in back-to-back weeks. Houston visits Texas Tech on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 3 p.m. (FS1) and hosts Kansas on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. (ESPNU) in the "Celebrate Houston"-themed home opener.
Houston will celebrate Hispanic Heritage when it hosts Tulane at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30. The matchup will also serve as the program's annual "Blackout Game" and be broadcast on ESPN. The Cougars visit Memphis on Friday, Oct. 7 with the matchup set for 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
The Cougars visit Navy on Saturday, Oct. 22. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on the ESPN Family of Networks with a designation coming later.
Broadcast and kick time for Houston's Saturday, Sept. 24 clash against Rice is also pending. The remaining game times and TV network designations will be announced 12 days prior to kickoff.
