The 2022 NCAA Baseball Tournament continues Sunday, June 5 with regional site action. Thirty one teams have already been eliminated from the tournament, as weather has delayed an elimination game in Miami, Florida.

Half of the top 16 seeds are on the ropes Sunday in elimination games. Top seeds in the loser’s bracket have to win 2 games Sunday in order to remain alive in the tournament. The undefeated team at regional sites are 1 win away from reaching the Super Regionals.

Of the 64 teams total in regional play, 32 were selected on an at-large basis by the Division I Baseball Committee and 16 national seeds are hosting regionals tournaments.

No. 1 seed Tennessee remains undefeated, thanks to getting timely out by pitchers and absolutely raking at the plate. The Vols fell down to Campbell 4-0 and took out the starting pitcher; however, Tennessee’s bats came alive and delivered a 12-7 win over the Camels.

Following this weekend’s regional action, the Super Regionals are scheduled to start Friday, June 10 and finish by Monday, June 13. The winners of the best-of-3 series then reach the College World Series, which starts on June 17 and finishes June 27. Punching their ticket to Omaha is every college baseball player’s dream.
