Appealing Your Fulton County Property Tax Assessment – Information Session

July 13, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Fulton County property owners will soon receive their 2022 property value assessment statements. While the statement includes an estimate of taxes due later this year, the assessment itself is not a bill that must be paid now. The statement’s mailing date, however, does trigger a 45-day window of time during which you have the right to appeal your assessment if you feel it’s wrong or unfair.

The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, Atlanta Legal Aid, and Grove Park Foundation are partnering to help guide property owners in BeltLine neighborhoods through the appeal process. This free information session is designed to help you understand your property tax statement and the options available if you want to appeal. For those who decide to appeal their assessment and would like assistance, we will be scheduling individual consultations throughout July designed to get you the help you need. Dates and more information are available at beltline.org/empower.

If you wish to attend the in-person information session, register HERE. In-person availability is subject to cancellation based on updated guidance as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This session will also be streamed live via Zoom. If you prefer to attend using this virtual option, please register HERE.

The 2022 Home Empowerment workshop series is supported by Delta, Wells Fargo, PNC Bank, HARRY NORMAN REALTORS® – The Intown Office, and Annie E. Casey Foundation.
