After what has felt like the longest year, June is finally here. What better way to cool off this summer than reading some newly released romance books?

Maybe it’s just me, but summer really feels like the perfect time to read romance books. The reading opportunities are pretty ample during the summer as you can read in the house, outside, or even by the pool.

No matter where you decide to read, there is always something new on the horizon, and that’s why it’s the perfect time to talk about some new releases for June 2022. As with previous months, it’ll likely be some sequels, debuts, and various other romance books you want to have your eye on.

If you’re in the mood for some fun romance books, these June releases might be for you.

These June 2022 romance books are perfect for your summer reading.

Heading into June, no doubt all of us are looking for some fun and steamy reads to kick off the summer. Firstly, we’re starting with sequels, and in June, there are quite a few worth adding to your TBR. First is Wicked Beauty by Katee Robert, which is Book 3 in her Dark Olympus series, and it’s a romance between Achilles, Patroclus, and Helen of Troy, along with the three of them competing to become Ares. This one is set to release on June 7th, so just in time to pre-order it.

Another sequel coming out in June is Twisted Lies by Ana Huang. Set to be released on June 30th, this is book 4 in her Twisted series, and it’s following Stella and Christian, which was teased at the end of book 3. Considering this is set to be the final book, no doubt it’s going to be full of fun, steamy times, and some fake dating goodness.

Moving on to the next category, I had to feature two books by authors who already have books out, but their new releases are a good starting point. First is Fake It Till You Bake It by Jamie Wesley, releasing June 21st. It is a Black love, fake dating story about a reality star and a baker who team up to save his bakery. Next up is American Royalty by Tracey Livesay, which is a twist on the Meghan x Prince Harry story in which a Black female rapper begins a relationship with a prince, and it goes from there. American Royalty is set to release on June 28th.

Last but certainly not least, these final two are two different upcoming releases that sound incredible. First is A Proposal They Can’t Refuse by Natalie Caña, a debut that follows two people who fake being engaged to save their businesses. That is set to release on June 7th, so just in time. Switching gears to YA romance is A Little Bit Country by Brian D. Kennedy, which is an m/m romance between two teenagers who end up spending the summer together. This one is another June 7th release as well.

Next. Set On You is the gym romance you never know you needed. dark

Surprisingly for June, there aren’t many queer romances being released, but there are still a lot of good romance books to get your hands on. Let us know which books you plan to add to your TBR below.
