Friday Night Lane Closures on SR 42/US 23/Moreland Ave for Resurfacing Project
METRO ATLANTA – Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors will install lane closures on SR 42/US 23/Moreland Avenue this weekend to continue a resurfacing project from Key Street to Wade Street in Fulton County. This resurfacing project will repair and improve the condition of the deteriorating roadway and produce a smoother ride for drivers.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, one alternating right or left lane will be closed on Moreland Avenue northbound and/or southbound between Key Street and Wade Street each Friday evening from 7 p.m. July 15 to 7 a.m. the following Saturday morning, July 16.
This $2.8 million project is scheduled for completion in late summer 2022.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through the work zone during the project work hours.
