| The Audiopulse VMP is the world’s only commercially available high excursion variable mass passive radiator. A passive radiator essentially operates as a Helmholtz resonator in a bass reflex system just as a port would, but also gives you the advantage of being able to tune a small enclosure to a low frequency without sacrificing linearity. In other words, small ported systems tuned to low frequencies require very small ports, which are highly restrictive, compress fast, and generate copious amounts of port distortion. Likewise, systems with very large ports tend to generate pipe resonance distortion which is one of most problematic distortions of large low tuned systems.

Contrary to ported sysetm, the Audiopulse VMP does not have turbulence distortion, port compression or pipe organ distortion components. Ports also lack the ability to be re-tuned without sacrificing port area, but the VMP has a user variable tuning system that does not sacrifice port velocity to achieve low tuning frequencies for true uncompressed bass extension. Variable tuning allows the system to be re-tuned any time without reconstruction port plugs. With the innate acoustic advantages and features, this is the highest fidelity passive radiator you can own. Once you hear the difference, you will forever be sold on well designed PR systems!
