SIELUELÄIN

Sielueläin (a ”Dæmon”, soul animal) is a tiny mythological animal that reflects your soul. When you are sleeping, it leaves your body through the mouth and away it goes for its own excursions. In Finland, a bird called Siberian jay has a nick name ‘sielulintu’ (spirit bird). My Sielueläin design is an ode for all spirit animals. It is dedicated to all beloved pet animals as well, as they steal a piece of one’s hearts and make a nest in our soul.

Information
This is a seamless sweater and worked entirely in the round. The lower body and the sleeves are worked from the bottom up and in the round until the underarms. For the sleeves, you can choose either double-pointed needles or a long circular needle for the Magic Loop technique, working either one sleeve at a time or both sleeves simultaneously. The body and sleeves are joined to work the yoke in the round. This garment is a unisex design without any shaping and has a semi-turtleneck.

SUOMEKSI
Sielueläin on mytologinen pieni eläin, joka kuvastaa ihmisen sielua. Ihmisen nukkuessa se poistuu suun kautta retkilleen. Ehkä monelle onkin tuttu Kuukkelin lempinimi ’sielulintu’. Sielueläin malli on oodi sielueläimille. Se on kuitenkin omistettu myös ihmisten läheisille lemmikkieläimille, jotka vievät palan sydämestä mennessään ja jäävät sielunsopukoihin asumaan.

Sielueläin-ohje on ilmainen. Halutessasi, lahjoita ohjeen hinta ennemmin lähimmälle eläinsuojeluyhdistyksellesi tai Suomen eläinsuojeluyhdistysten liitolle (SEY).

Yleistä ohjeesta
Paita on saumaton ja neulotaan kokonaan pyörönä. Vartalo-osa ja hihat neulotaan alhaalta ylös pyörönä kainaloihin saakka. Hihat voit neuloa looppaamalla yhden kerrallaan tai molemmat hihat yhtä aikaa tai halutessasi sukkapuikoilla. Vartalo-osa ja hihat yhdistetään, jonka jälkeen neulotaan kaarroke myös pyörönä. Ohje on suora, lyhyehkö unisex-malli. Mallissa on puolikorkea kaulus.
